Harvest Ministry - Project India

East Olympia Community Church is excited to support a new outreach of Harvest Ministry - Project India.
Meet Joshua and Anna Dunagan
Harvest
Ministry is currently working with
N.E.T.S. National
Evangelism Team Support minister,
Paul
Sundersingh (our India Contact) to start a small
orphanage in the town of Gummileru in South East India. This new orphanage home
will house 10 children, and currently we are looking to raise twenty sponsors
for these children at $25 per month (mission support can be sent to HARVEST
MINISTRY, designated for PROJECT INDIA, and we would really appreciate your
prayers for God’s wisdom, direction, and provision. Also,
LET US KNOW if
you would like to receive our PROJECT INDIA missions newsletter to keep us in
prayer!).
Our passion is to see the abandoned taken in, the hurt healed, the oppressed set free, and the lost saved, all for the Glory of God!
Our heart’s cry is not just to simply live, but to live with purpose and to make a difference in this world in God’s kingdom. We believe that this house will not only give a home for these abandoned children, but also provide an opportunity to raise up these children with God’s Word, so that they would be inspired to share His message with others!
Lord willing, we will be taking a scouting trip to India in March of this year to meet N.E.T.S. Minister Paul Sundersingh, to get to know the precious children in the orphanage, and to look into the possibility of starting other orphanages or sponsoring new national ministers in India.
We are thrilled to direct Project India, and we would love to share about our vision and passion to meet the needs of these orphans! If you know of any church, school, or Bible study that would like to hear more about this project, or if you are interested in becoming a sponsor for this new PROJECT INDIA orphanage home, PLEASE CONTACT US, and we will be happy to give you more information.
God has great plans for India! We are so excited about the great potential in this new harvest field, and we are pleased to have a part in telling the people of India about Jesus Christ.
God Bless you, and God Bless India,
Febuary 25, 2011 Update
Ministered in three villages today and five people came to the Lord. The Christians here are very excited about these new believers… It seems that people usually do not give their heart to the Lord without thinking about it for a long time. One lady who gave her heart to the Lord wanted prayer because things would be really rough for her with her Hindu family… I think this makes it very difficult for people to become Christians. — Here’s some misc info: — It is after 10:30pm and we still have about an hour and a half of driving before we get to the hotel. Very small and very poor villages. The average laborer makes about 3 dollars for a full day of work. And there are very few Christians, so it makes it very difficult for a person to be involved in full time ministry. But to fit in with their society they don’t need very much money, people here are very poor. One lady we prayed for testified the next day that she had been healed from a headache that she had suffered from for several years. — People here expect to be individually prayed for when they attend these meetings, so it makes for a lot of time praying for people. — Many many unreached people in these small villages. There are tons of little villages out in the middle of these huge rice plantations, many of them you cannot drive to. They are low class people who work in the fields for the landowners. They really need the Gospel. Thanks for your prayers!
